Botox, or botulinum toxin, is a popular cosmetic treatment used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines by temporarily paralyzing facial muscles. At Rocky Mountain Surgical Arts, we treat Botox in all the facial regions; however, the three most common areas for treatment are:
Glabellar Lines (Frown Lines)
This refers to the vertical lines that appear between the eyebrows, often called frown lines or “11 lines.” Botox is commonly used in this area to relax the muscles responsible for creating these wrinkles, resulting in a smoother and more youthful appearance.
Forehead Lines
Botox is frequently applied to the horizontal lines on the forehead that develop as a result of repetitive facial expressions, such as raising the eyebrows. By injecting Botox into specific muscles in the forehead, it can prevent them from contracting, reducing the visibility of these lines
Crow’s Feet
Crow’s feet are the fine lines that radiate from the outer corners of the eyes, particularly noticeable when smiling. Botox is commonly used in this area to relax the muscles around the eyes, softening the appearance of these wrinkles and giving a more youthful look.
