Mandibular fractures present in many different for $Mandibular fractures present in many different forms. This one was a displaced condylar head, comminuted fracture. Occlusion was not an issue as all the teeth were extracted due to the poor prognosis. As for the fracture, ORIF was performed through a pre-auricular incision and two plates were added. Those bones are now fully fixated and the patient can function post-operatively on a soft diet. After doing over a 1000 facial and jaw surgeries, $After doing over a 1000 facial and jaw surgeries, whether it’s cosmetic, corrective, reconstructive or traumatic, you develop a routine and effective approach to manage each case. Dr. Fathimani has treated, published and lectured nationally on almost every jaw fracture possible [ie: you name it …. pediatric, teenager, adult, partial or completely edentulous, GSW (gunshot) pathologic, IVDU, etc]. Each has its unique approach to it and we’ve developed a step by step technique for each case. Lectures are given by Dr. Fathimani routinely and private one on one trainings are available for surgeons interested in learning more. This example was not your typical fracture; however, the principles of fixation still applied. This was a unique one as a combo lag screw and fracture plate was used for the anterior fracture and ladder plate for the posterior due to the position of the IAN. Very happy patient as no wires were placed after surgery and no facial scars were present as the surgery was done all in the mouth. Dr. FATHIMANI And his team are literal angels on earth. I had an invasive wisdom teeth removal and I couldn’t have asked for a better office. The education provided before the procedure helped ease all my stress. My care did not end when my procedure did, the staff really went above and beyond to make sure I was cared for. Dr Fathimani even called me from his personal phone to ensure I got my medications that I needed. This office was high end but never lost that down to earth feeling. I traveled from Nashville for a bone grafting procedure with PRF. After researching OMS's I chose Dr. Fathimani based on his training, experience and the consultation. At the consultation he was thorough and patient answering all of my questions.The procedure was smooth and the recovery easy and manageable. He is the best doctor I have had the pleasure of ever meeting. I went to him to have a wisdom tooth removed and ending up talking about my underbite that I had for years. Long story short he was very nice helped me every step of the way and was in constant communication and my byte, jaw and breathing is way better because of him.
