Revitalize Your Complexion With Light

The skin is a protective barrier constantly exposed to UV rays, direct sunlight, environmental pollutants, bacteria, injuries, and other impurities. Over time, the collective impact of environmental impurities, sunlight, aging, and genes can lead to a dull, dry, and damaged complexion. IPL photofacials use the power of light to treat numerous skin concerns, including sun damage, wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, rosacea, and broken capillaries. If you want to brighten your complexion, IPL photofacial is the way to go.

What is IPL Photofacial?

An IPL photofacial, also known as intense pulsed light therapy, uses pulsed light to penetrate the skin and improve the appearance of sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles, and other complexion concerns. IPL photofacials work by delivering short bursts of light energy to the skin. This light energy is absorbed by the pigments in the skin, which causes the pigments to heat up and break down. The body then flushes these broken-down pigments away, leaving the skin looking brighter and more even-toned.

IPL Photofacial Can Correct:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Skin laxity
  • Age spots
  • Sunspots
  • Rosacea
  • Broken capillaries
  • Textural irregularities
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Pigmented lesions

Benefits of IPL Photofacial:

  • Non-invasive skin rejuvenation
  • Target specific skin concerns with different wavelengths of light
  • Improve overall skin tone and complexion
  • Almost no pain or discomfort during the treatment
  • Almost no swelling or other side effects
  • Resume daily activities and work immediately

The Complete IPL Photofacial Process

When you come in for an IPL photofacial consultation, the first thing we will do is sit down with you and discuss your specific skin concerns. We will then closely examine your skin, evaluating your complexion and skin type. Once we understand your needs, we will tailor a treatment plan specifically for you.

IPL photofacial treatments are performed with a special device that emits intense pulsed light. We calibrate the device to channel wavelengths that target your specific skin concerns. The light is absorbed by the pigments in your skin, targeting and destroying them. The treated area will be flushed with light, and you may experience a mild, temporary sensation of heat.

Most people need 3 to 5 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart to see optimal results. After your treatment, you can expect your skin to look brighter and more even-toned. You may also see a reduction in the appearance of sun damage, age spots, and other pigmented lesions.

IPL Photofacial: Recovery & Downtime

IPL photofacials usually have minimal side effects, the most common being redness and swelling of the treated area. These side effects usually resolve within a few hours. There is no downtime associated with an IPL photofacial, so you can resume your normal activities immediately after the treatment.
